+ Lash appointment prep & aftercare

How to prepare for your lash appointment:

To ensure the best results and a relaxing experience, please keep the following in mind:
● Arrive with clean lashes. Avoid wearing eye makeup the day of your appointment. If needed, arrive early to cleanse thoroughly in the restroom.
● Skip the caffeine. Coffee and energy drinks can cause twitchy eyes and restlessness, which makes precise lash application more challenging.
● Use the restroom beforehand. Lash appointments can take 1–3+ hours. Breaks are always okay, but a quick bathroom stop before helps keep things smooth.
● Inform your lash artist of any medical conditions. Certain medications, hair loss, eye sensitivities, or allergies may affect retention. Please share any relevant information prior to your service.

Lash Aftercare:

Caring for your lashes properly will extend the life of your extensions and keep your natural lashes healthy:
● Cleanse your lashes daily using a lash-safe, oil-free foaming cleanser.
● Brush them gently when dry using a clean mascara wand.
● Avoid touching or picking at your lashes, as this can cause premature shedding or damage.
● Pre-book fills every 2–3 weeks to maintain fullness and healthy growth.
● Never use a lash curler or mascara on your extensions.
● Be mindful of lifestyle factors—excessive sweating (workouts, hot yoga), swimming, and steam can affect retention.
● Eye makeup matters. Creamy concealers and waterproof eyeliners can build up around the lash line. Make sure you’re cleansing thoroughly, or swap these products for lash friendly-options.

Note: If you’re arriving to fills with less than 40% of your lash extensions remaining, we may need to reassess your lash routine or explore alternative enhancements that better align with your lifestyle

+ lash lift & brow lamination: prep & aftercare

How to Prepare for Your Appointment:

● Arrive with clean lashes and/or brows—no makeup, oils, or skincare products on the area. If needed, arrive early to cleanse.
● It’s recommended to shower and wash your hair and face before your appointment, since you’ll need to avoid heat, steam, and water exposure for at least 24 hours after your service.

Aftercare Instructions:

● Avoid exposing your lashes or brows to steam, hot water, or heat for at least 24 hours.
● Refrain from applying makeup, mascara, face wash, removers, or lotions to the treated area for 24 hours.
● Do not excessively touch or rub your lashes or brows for 24–48 hours to avoid irritation or disrupting the results.
● Avoid swimming, chlorinated water, or harsh skincare products (like exfoliants or acids) as they can weaken the results.
● Sleep on your back for the first 1–2 nights to maintain shape and prevent flattening or distortion.
● Minimize the use of waterproof mascara—it’s hard to remove and can cause lash damage.
● Daily use of Elleeplex oil on your lashes and brows is highly recommended to maintain health and prolong results. (Available for purchase in the studio.)

+ waxing: prep & aftercare

How to Prepare for Your Wax Appointment:

● Let the hair grow! Ideally:
1–2 weeks of growth for facial waxing
3–4 weeks for body waxing
Hair should be at least the length of a grain of rice (about ¼ inch) or long enough to “pinch.”
● If trimming, do so evenly and carefully—don’t trim too short.
● Gently exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment and arrive freshly showered.
● OTC pain relief (like Advil or Tylenol) may help reduce discomfort—consult your physician first.
● On your period? No problem! You’re still welcome to get a Brazilian—just wear a tampon or menstrual cup.
● Wear loose, breathable clothing to your body wax appointment.
● Facial waxing contraindications: We cannot perform waxing if you’re using Accutane, Retin-A, or other topical/oral prescription treatments. Always inform your esthetician of any medications or skin concerns.

Wax Aftercare Instructions:

● Avoid excessive touching, sweating, exfoliating, or using heavy lotions or scented products for at least 24 hours.
● Stay out of saunas, hot tubs, pools, lakes, oceans, and avoid sun exposure for 24–48 hours. These environments can cause irritation, breakouts, or infection on freshly waxed skin.
● After 48 hours, begin gently exfoliating the area 2–3 times per week to prevent ingrown hairs. Keep the area moisturized.
● Do not shave or tweeze between appointments—consistency is key to long-term results and smoother regrowth.
● Pre-booking your appointments every 4–6 weeks helps maintain your waxing schedule and keeps your hair on the same growth cycle.
